Seattle PI

13 Feb

The Post Intelligencer’s office was a powerful image of just how badly the newspapers are doing.  Walking through row upon row of empty office and empty room to get to a small corner of people really showed just how big the newspaper used to be.  Seattle PI was the most depressing part of the trip; talking about going from a staff of more than 100 to only 12 employees is a scary thought.  I do wish they had been willing to tell us a bit more about the business model and how exactly they make the decision to cover or not to cover different stories.
